Terms you can actually read.

1. The agreement

These Terms govern your use of the currently free Khulq website and app. By using Khulq, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Notice. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Khulq is operated by Sameer Aqdas Ali, a UK sole trader trading as Khulq. Questions can be sent to support@khulq.app. A lawful service address and professionally reviewed subscription terms remain mandatory before paid subscriptions open.

2. What Khulq provides

Khulq is a reflective Muslim companion for honest conversation, prayer preparation, muhasabah, moral work and returning to Allah after weakness. It can help you name what is happening, remember chosen context and take a small next step.

Features may include local records, encrypted account Sync, cloud AI replies, protected voice transcription and prayer-time calculations. Availability can differ by device, location, consent, release stage and responsible usage limits.

3. What Khulq is not

Khulq is not a fatwa service, qualified scholar, therapist, doctor, lawyer or emergency service. AI output can be incomplete or wrong. Check important religious quotations and rulings with reliable sources and qualified people.

If you may harm yourself or someone else, someone may harm you, or there may be a medical emergency, contact the local emergency service or a safe person now. Khulq cannot hold an emergency alone.

4. Your account and records

You are responsible for access to your account and device. Give accurate account information, keep authentication secure and tell Khulq promptly if you believe access has been compromised.

Your authored Journey remains yours. You give Khulq only the limited permission needed to store, encrypt, sync and process the material when you deliberately use those functions. Khulq does not acquire ownership of your reflections.

Export important records you cannot afford to lose. Khulq uses safeguards and local-first storage, but no software or device can promise uninterrupted availability or perfect recovery.

5. Responsible use

Do not use Khulq to break the law, harm or threaten others, exploit children, attack the service, bypass usage or payment controls, automate abusive traffic, upload malware, impersonate another person or interfere with another account.

Reasonable technical and usage limits may be applied to protect people, availability and the founder from uncontrolled provider costs. Khulq will not describe a service-wide capacity incident as if you personally did something wrong.

6. AI and generated material

Cloud AI is used only after the disclosed agreement and only when you choose an AI function. Generated material is support for reflection, not a guaranteed fact, ruling or professional instruction. You remain responsible for decisions and actions taken after reading it.

Do not submit information about another person unless you have a lawful and respectful reason to do so. Avoid including names or identifying detail when it is not needed.

7. Khulq’s materials

The Khulq name, interface, original writing, illustrations and software are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. You may use the service for personal, non-commercial reflection. You may not copy, sell, reverse engineer or redistribute protected parts except where law expressly allows it.

Religious source texts remain subject to their own source and publication rights; Khulq does not claim ownership of the Qur’an, hadith or teachings it cites.

8. Changes, suspension and ending use

Khulq may change or remove features to improve safety, accuracy, sustainability or legal compliance. Material changes to these Terms will be dated and presented reasonably before they bind continued use.

You may stop using Khulq at any time. Account deletion is available from the Account area and local Journey data can be cleared separately in Settings. Khulq may restrict abusive or unlawful access, but will not delete locally held private records merely because a future Pro entitlement ends.

9. Availability and responsibility

Khulq is provided with reasonable care, but internet, device, provider and experimental-feature failures can occur. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, limits statutory consumer rights, or excuses a failure to provide digital services with the standard required by law.

Where the law permits, Khulq is not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, arise from misuse, or result from failing to keep a separate copy of records after Khulq clearly offered an export control.

10. Law and contact

These Terms are governed by the law that applies in the part of the United Kingdom where the operator is established, without removing any mandatory protections you have where you live. Courts with mandatory consumer jurisdiction remain available to you.
